It feels like only yesterday that I launched ResumeMaker.Online. But it’s actually been more than two years, and during that time I’ve made several cumulative fixes and updates. Now I’m officially launching the biggest update yet, version 2.0.

Although a lot of the changes were under the hood to totally revamp the mobile experience and improve website performance to achieve a 100/100 Google score in all categories, there are some new, exciting features!

The PDF download looks better than ever — and we’ve listened to our users’ criticisms, too. I’ve removed the visual artifacts that some people found distracting, and we’ve also made it possible to list skills without any grade or percentage attached to them. We still think there’s value in having that information available, but now users can choose the option that works best for them.

Other important new feature is the location selector. This is especially important nowadays, with remote work booming. The location selector ensures that resumes conform to the format in the country where the job is located. This is vital, as resumes vary greatly from country to country.

The location selector makes it easier for users to apply for jobs all across the world and fill in the appropriate information according to the best practices by region.

I’ve got a lot of new features and improvements planned for the near future, so if you have any feedback or suggestions, please let me know. And make sure to follow my #buildinpublic journey on Twitter!
